The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be removed frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can also remove wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could want. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
